Introducing… a new item for the spring!
It’s that time of year isn’t it? The sun is shining (a little more often at least), the weather is warmer (and hopefully drier) and Summer is already right around the corner. It always puts me in the mood for a lovely cream tea - but then, most things do 😉.
Sadly for Chrissy, all the gluten free scones she could buy, whilst yummy, were also packed full of sugar. And that was before she’d slathered on all the raspberry jam and clotted cream it could hold!
Luckily for Chrissy, her sister loved to eat scones and this was a great excuse for making many, many batches until we were finally satisfied that we’d found the right balance of natural sweetness to complement the juicy sultanas and a hint of our homemade vanilla.
Our raspberry jam is likewise only naturally sweetened with a little honey and peach to cut the tartness. As for the clotted cream, some of us just couldn’t do without it - although you can of course as we have made our very own cashew based version that’s completely dairy-free 🙂
We’re also pretty fond of tea so we’re including a sample of one of our favorites (earl grey strong by tea pigs), just in case you’re running short on the PG Tips but just can’t wait to dig into our scones. Chrissy also has a few other favorites she’s willing to share for those of you who might prefer green or berry teas.
And if you’re not a fan of cream teas (😮) we also offer the scones individually. No judgment…..
