Spring Seasonal Specials - Wings & Scones!

While Easter may now be in the rear-view mirror, we are still enjoying spring. However, for those of you who might be struggling to believe it actually is spring (why has it been so cold this year 🥶?!) we have a couple of seasonal specials to cheer you up & hopefully lure out a bit of sunshine!

fruit scones, tea, jam and cream

Firstly we have our lovely cream teas - whether it’s just the yummy mini fruit scones you fancy or the whole kit and kaboodle, we have you covered. As always, our tasty sultana scones are wheat-free, refined-sugar-free and fully delicious! We use a mix of four different flours for just the right consistency then sweeten them slightly with pure maple syrup, succulent sultanas and finally our homemade vanilla extract to add a little depth.

On their own they are a treat but when you add some homemade raspberry jam (again, no refined sugar here - peach and a little wild raw honey do the sweetening for us), some clotted cream and some of our favourite brand of black tea, they're spectacular! Chrissy also has a few other tea favourites she’s willing to share for those of you who might prefer green or berry teas.

Altogether it makes a cream tea for the ages - and more specifically, for the gluten-intolerant amongst us 😉

Next up is something wholly new for our menu, though certainly not to us. Introducing our tasty buffalo cauliflower wings with cashew ranch dip. Do they taste like chicken wings? No, in our opinion they’re much better (no bones or gristle here folks) and what’s more they’re vegan-friendly to boot! The chewy, lightly spiced wings pair perfectly with the cool, refreshing ranch dip. We whip these out for parties and know not to expect any leftovers!

So, if you’re in the mood for some yum this lacklustre spring, check these out & let us know what you think!
